About this project

Bridgemere Land acquired the former agrochemicals production facility in Hauxton, Cambridge from Bayer CropScience. Phase 1 was sold to Redrow for 380 homes following extensive remediation as a result of contaminated soils and groundwater which posed a risk to nearby watercourses.

A separate listed building was sold to a life sciences company.

Phase 2 of the site is currently subject to a planning application for a 260,000 sq ft life science park  to be known as the Cambridge Discovery Campus.
