About this project
Bridgemere Land acquired the former agrochemicals production facility in Hauxton, Cambridge from Bayer CropScience. Phase 1 was sold to Redrow for 380 homes following extensive remediation as a result of contaminated soils and groundwater, which posed a risk to nearby watercourses.
A separate listed building was sold to a life sciences company.
Phase 2 of the site is a 260,000 sq ft life science park to be known as the Cambridge Discovery Campus. With planning permission secured, the development of the Campus is ahead of time and budget, and due to be completed in 2026.
